Born in Italy in 1970, Sabina Milani graduated from the Academy of Art in Genoa in 1992 and held her first solo exhibition in Genoa in 1997.
Her artistic journey began with figurative painting, portraiture, murals and the restoration of antique mural paintings, working over the years with architects, interior designers and private commissions in Italy and abroad.
Today, her work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the tradition of classical figurative painting, with a particular fascination for the art of the mid-to-late nineteenth century and the Pre-Raphaelite movement.
Through oil painting, Sabina explores the human figure, beauty, femininity and the timeless relationship between life and death. Her paintings combine meticulous realism with a dreamlike and symbolic atmosphere, drawing inspiration from classical art, nineteenth-century painting and the romantic vision of the Pre-Raphaelites.
Her work moves between realism and symbolism, seeking to create figures and atmospheres that feel suspended between the tangible and the imagined, the past and the present.
Sabina now lives and works in Italy, continuing her artistic research and painting practice from her homeland.
